Weekend Pictures

A few random pictures from this week/weekend!
We had Sunday dinner at my parents house. Mallory and Colton love to see baby Cash. They are so fun all together!
The kids and I went to Cami's school carnival with Jaclyn and her kids!
We had a great time doing the cake walk, digging for dinosaurs, toss the football through the toy and bounce the ball on the fish bowls

We even saw Snow White! :) Mallory was excited but acted shy of course!
We started a little reward system this week. Mallory got a piggy bank and we're giving her coins for doing good things and for being a good listener. She hasn't been too crazy but sometimes in the morning she just wants to do her own thing like watching TV or playing and ignore me! Ha.
Mallory is loving this so far. She helped me unload the dishwasher, fold the wash clothes, and get dressed the first time I asked. :) After this week, we're going to head to Target and let her pick something with her coins!
So Colton hated the car for the first 8 months of his life but he has been doing sooooo much better the past few months! I used to use my phone to play him videos off YouTube and then I started bringing the Ipad in the car. My mom saw what I was doing and told me to buy a DVD player for the car so we were going to but she happened to have one from a rode trip they took last year! Yay! So now the kids can watch any movie they want in the car! It's great!! Colt is soo happy here and Mallory is intensely watching her show! :)
We hit up Costco again this week!! The kids love the free samples and I'm addicted to this berry smoothie right here. Apparently so is Colton! He loves all food soo he would! Also I love the double carts so I may or may not pick up extra items I wouldn't normally buy in bulk but it's much easier than going to two places. :)
The fire station by our new house had a open house/fire safety event this weekend!
The firefighters gave out free hats, stickers, coloring books and had bbq hamburgers!
Auntie Brooke, Uncle Shaun and baby Cash came too!! Yay!
We even all got to sit in the backseat of the fire engine!
My cute kids and the fire truck! (Daddy was at home trying to organize the new house)

We had a fun weekend!!

Saying Good-Bye!

Today we said good-bye to our 1st home!!! It's been a very bitter sweet day!
Dustin and I were fortunate to purchase this home 4 years ago! When we first moved in we were soo excited! The house was bigger than any apartment we had ever lived in and had a 3rd bedroom. We loved it!! We had a great time the first year remodeling it! We took out all the blue bird wallpaper and painted the rooms different colors. We removed the pink carpet and Dustin laid down laminate floors and new carpet! It was so fun!
We painted one of the spare rooms a neutral green, praying to Adopt a child in this house!
We got a room ready and brought Mallory home from Tennessee to this house!
We watched her crawl, say her first words and learn to walk in this house.
We prayed and cried many nights in this house for Colty. I laid down after Invetro for 2 months with my feet in the air in this house for Colty.
We brought Colty home from the hospital to this house!
Colton also learned to sit up, crawl and say Momma in this house.
This home will always have a special place in our hearts. I know it will for me!
This is also the home where Papa Dave had his heart attack.
That has been rough for everyone the last 3 months but especially for Dustin and for that reason, it is time for us to move on.
Dustin is at a new job and I am in a better position at my job.
We are so blessed.
We are excited for a new ward, a new stake, a new part of town, a brand new home, and a great elementary school for Mallory and Colton!

Colton 1 Year Old Chalkboard

Can you believe this little Stud is 1 Year Old!!?!
Colton has been such a blessing in our lives!
He has been such a fun loving spirit in our home!
Colton's 1 Year Old stats:
- He currently weighs 21.5 pounds! He is a chunk!! I'm guessing mostly because he is willing to eat anything and I mean anything!
-Colt has 4 teeth!! He just got these! Perfect timing! Two on the very top (E&F) and two on the bottom (O&P)!
-Colt is 31 inches tall! This is just my measurement! He doesn't have his physical/shots until next month. Oops!

Colton's Loves:
-FOOD!! Colton will eat anything especially if you are eating it! Some of his favorites are avocados, bananas, peaches, chicken nuggets, yogurt drinks and olives.
-He loves to be outside! Any time Colton is having a hard time and I can't calm him down or just want to get his mind on something else, I take him outside. He loves to look up at the trees and we talk about the birds and swing on the swing with sister!
-He is finally liking Bath Time! He used to be nervous or something! Now Mallory and Colton get in the sink and play while I cook dinner or unload the dishwasher. It works out great!!
-Colton LOVES the Muffin Songs! Its a channel on YouTube. I found them and now I turn one of the songs on my Ipad while we drive so he won't cry in the car!! Yay!!!
-Colty loves to wrestle with Daddy and Mallory! He thinks it's soo fun to "attack" them!!!
-Colton is just a happy guy! He is always smiling. Hes so easy going. He lets Mallory be in charge! It's soo cute!

We sure do Love this little guy!! Excited to watch him continue to learn and grow!

Mallory Blood Work

So Mallory had some blood work done this weekend!
Mallory's birth father and his father have Sickle Cell Disease and we wanted to know if Mallory has it or if she is a carrier for it. It's been on my mind a lot lately since Earl's father recently passed away from the disease. One of the symptoms is lack of appetite. Mallory seriously never cares to eat. She never really has though.
I've had different thoughts on it over the last 3 years.
 1. She is naturally tiny. Mallory's birth mom was only 113 pounds at 9 months pregnant! So I know Mallory isn't going to be big!! Ha.
2. Mallory was sick seriously every 2 weeks for the first 2 years of her life! I think she got use to not wanting to eat because her throat was so sore. She has been eating a lot better though since the surgery last summer!
3. She has texture issues. She prefers to drink than eat! She will drink fruit smoothies, milk, water, juice or yogurt, pretty much any time you ask her to. She has a harder time with "big bites"!
So anyway I was trying to get to the point that she doesn't eat much so I thought maybe she could possibly have the sickle cell disease.
Good news is Mallory DOES NOT have the disease!!! Yay!
She does however have low iron. So Dr Jones said I need to try and get her to eat better over the next six months or he's going to have to put her on some iron pills!
We had a great rest of the weekend!
Mallory and Dustin camped out in the backyard. Mallory thought it was so fun!
Colton and I decided to sleep in my nice big cozy warm bed!
We went to church trying to listen to the lessons while chasing around the kids!
Love our little family!
