Brooke took some 1 month old pictures of baby Colton this week! The pictures are very cute! They would have been cuter if Colton would have stayed asleep! Ha. We had all these cute ideas but he was not coroperating! We are going to try again another time! I can't wait to get them printed so I can make a cute annoucement to send out! Yay!

We went to the Pumpkin Patch! We heard the patch on Clovis/Herndon had horses so we had to check it out!! Yay! Mallory talks about NayNays all the time! She loves them!
Nonna, Papa, TeeTee, Uncle Chad, Momma, Daddy, Mallory & Baby Colt had a great time playing and looking around!
Here is Daddy & Mals ready to go!
Mommy & Baby Colt all bundled up!
Mallory riding her nay-nay! Her favorite thing to do! We might have let her ride them 3 times! (At $5 bucks each time..my gosh!)

Little Family of 4!
This is Mallory getting ready to ride the cars and then...
During the ride! We had to ask the man to stop the ride so we could get her off! Poor girl got scared!
Nonna & Papa are so fun!
And we couldn't leave the patch without riding the nay-nays one more time!
We had a blast! Can't wait for Colton to be able to enjoy the pumpkin patch instead of sleeping through the whole thing! :) Ha

1 Month Old
Baby Colton is 1 month old today!! Time has flown by! I feel like we were just leaving for the hospital the other day! Maybe because it has been a crazy month! Colton has been a wonderful baby lately! I finally figured him out! I think he was crying constantly because his tummy was upset! I stopped eating all diary products and greasy foods plus Ive continued to not eat chocolate. Ever since I've stopped the diary products, Colton seems to be much better! Plus after the antibiotics from the hospital, Colton has been a more content and happy baby! So it must have just been a combination of the dairy and being sick! We are so grateful that we have a happy healthy baby again! I feel so bad for not realizing the dairy problem sooner!!
Colton had his One month check-up with Dr Jones this week! Colton is looking great! Dr Jones said he looked healthy since the hospital visit! His head circumference is measuring 15.5 inches (75%), his height is 23 3/4 inches (97%) which is means Colton grew 3 inches since birth!! That's crazy fast for 1 month! Colt is going to be tall and skinny like his Daddy! Colton now weights 9 pounds, 14 ounces (25%) which is a little over 2 pounds since birth! He is getting so big, so fast! :( Its fun watching him grow! Mallory has never been over 50% on her head, height or weight!
Here are a few pictures of our cute little man!
Mallory wanted to sit by the measuring bear too! I should have done this picture when I did her 2 year old physical! Oh well!
Here are a few random pictures from this week too! Love our family!

Kitchen Paint
Dustin and I had our kitchen walls and the playroom walls painted this weekend! Now we don't have that nasty green wall anymore! Yay!! Love how it looks!
I forgot to take a before picture but here is one from Mallory's 2nd birthday party that shows the ugly wall pretty good!
And the after! We did one stripped gray wall! Love it!

Baby Colt gave us quite the scare!
We had quite the scare with baby Colton this week.
Sunday night Colton was very fussy. He cried/screamed for 3 1/2 hours straight. I could not get him to calm down to save my life! I tried to feed him but he would just scratch his face up and not latch on. We tried to burp him, rub his stomach thinking maybe he needed to poop, we rocked him and tried to walk around bouncing him. Nothing worked! We eventually took his temperature, just in case he was sick, but not thinking he wasn't since he really didn't feel warm. The temperature said 100.6! We called the Dr and the Dr on call said to just watch him close through the night and if his temperature got to 101.0 then to take him to the hospital. That night Colt slept pretty good and his temperature was normal all night.
In the morning(Monday) his temperature was still normal but I called Dr Jones office to let them know what happened and see what they thought. Dr Jones called me back around lunch and said if Coltons temperature gets to 100.4 then to call his office and come down. Sure enough, an hour later, I took his temperature and it was 100.2. So I called the office and then headed down. Dr Jones did a blood test but it kept clotting so he couldn't read the test. Dr Jones did a physical exam and couldn't find anything unusual so he sent us to the emergency room at Children's Hospital. Dr Jones said infants under 8 weeks old should never have a temperature over 99.8. I headed to the hospital but by the time I got there his fever was gone again. The hospital kept Colton anyway to run tests. The ER Dr ran a urine test, a blood culture and a spinal fluid test. Then we had to wait. They keep all infants under 8 weeks a minimum of 48 hours to see how the cultures develop. Poor Colton was poked 3 times by the nurses trying to get his IV started. I thought I was going to die but mostly I wanted to kill someone! The Dr's started 2 antibiotics just in case the cultures came back positive for a bacterial infection such as sepsis or spinal meningitis. We immediately noticed a difference in Colton's fussiness, he was a much happier baby!
Long story short, after 3 long days(Wednesday night) the cultures all came back negative for a bacterial infection. The Dr's and Dr Jones think that Colton had a viral infection and since he is only 3 weeks old, his body could not fight off the infection. We don't know how it got it because no one in our house is sick and we have been really good about not letting everyone hold him and staying home!
We are just so thankful that Colton is home healthy and happy! We love our tiny miracle baby and are so glad the Dr's took such good care of him!
Here are a few pictures from the visit! Poor little baby! Its so hard to watch your child in pain!
This is the Nurse taking out his IV right before we left! :( Side note: They weighed Colton while we were there and he is 9 pounds 10 ounces now! (Almost 2 pounds before 1 month old) Wow! I guess he is not going to be a small 20 pounds like his sister at 2 years old!

Colt's 1st Sunday
We went back to church today after 3 weeks! Colton and Mallory both did great...They slept the WHOLE time (We went to sacrament only)!! Crazy kids but it worked out perfect for me! I convinced everyone to take a few pictures before church today! Dustin didn't tell me I was making crazy faces! Next week is stake conference and then its the Sunday before Halloween so we are going to give Colton his blessing on Sunday, November 4th! Can't wait! :)

3 Week Old Baby Colt!
We sure do love having Colton in our family!! He is such a cute little old man! He is now 3 weeks old! Even though he is so little, I can already see a lot of similarities and differences between him and Mallory!
Similarities:
1. Mallory had a dry skin condition the first 6 months of her life called Seborrhea and this week I noticed Colton has it in between his thighs!
2. Both kids love to be held! Colton doesn't ever want me to put him down which makes it a little hard to help Mallory during the day!
3. Both kids are pretty good sleepers except Colton moves a lot when he sleeps so I always think he is waking up where as Mallory never moved(s)!
Differences:
1. Mallory loved the pacifier. Colton won't take either kind to save his life. He gags on both! :(
2. Colton cries more than Mallory did (at least of what I can remember). It seems like if he is not sleeping or breastfeeding, he is crying! I think Mallory would have been crying too during this time but she wasn't because she had the pacifier!
3. Colton gets a lot of gas and Mallory rarely had gas! You would think Mallory would have gotten it more often because she was bottle/formula fed but she didn't.
I know there were more similarities and differences but I can't think of any right now! (Besides the obvious ones)
I took Colton to Dr Jones at 20 days old. Colton's right eye has been crusty and Dr Jones said it was a clogged tear duct! A lot better than what I thought it might have been...pink eye! Dr Jones said that Colt is 9 pounds now! Yay! So that means he is eating great!
Here are some random pictures from the last couple of days!
Uncle Brent, Colton and Mallory! 11 days old!
