Before the Oven was fixed

We are getting our oven & stove powder coated! YAY! I want to replace the whole oven but the oven works pretty good. Here are some pictures of the oven and stove while I am waiting for them to come back! PS. The best part is that it was only $35 to powder coat the oven top and it will give my kitchen a whole new look!!

Kitchen Cart

I'm staining my kitchen cart! We don't have much storage space for food in our kitchen. The pantry is in our hall closet. Its pretty inconvenient for me! Before the cart was a light yellow color and now its a dark cherry! I love it! The drawer needs to be stained over one more time. It just didn't cover like the rest of the cart did! The cart should go really well with the dark oven!
I put up some shelves in our kitchen next to the refrigerator to give me a little bit more room for things and for decoration! It looks so cute!! I love it! You can kind of see them in this picture below.

Kitchen Wall Part 2

I got some vinyl lettering for my kitchen wall. The saying is: The fondest memories are made while gathered around the table. Its a little deep but appropriate for the wall. This wall still feels like it needs something else. I'm not sure what but I guess I will figure it out when I see it!

Apples & Grapes

The theme of my kitchen is Apples & Grapes (Red&Purple). I found a cute pack of apples, grapes, cherrys, & oranges at Target and then I went to Michaels and got a bunch of long stem fruit to make a center piece for my table! It turned out pretty cute!

Chanti

I painted the "Girls Room"(the dogs area/den/future baby playroom) Red this weekend! Its actually Chanti to be exact! I love it! I've been pretty lucky with choosing colors that I like even after I paint it on the wall! Heres a few pictures! The pictures are not as good this time! I ran out of batteries for my camera so I had to use my phone!! Before, During & Afters, of course!

The Time Traveler's Wife

I just started reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" and I LOVE IT!! I can't wait for the movie to come out this Friday! I'm mostly excited for the movie because there are a few parts that I am confused on! Ahh I'm so excited!

More Flowers

I planted MORE FLOWERS!! I have really come to enjoy it! Pam & Becky came and helped me pick out the right kind of flowers. I got a flag holder so I can change the flag for all the different holidays!
I'm not going to lie, my flowers are soooo cute!! Check them out!They may look a little dead but they are going to grow into their areas!

Kitchen Blinds & Curtains

I don't even know what to say anymore but I have become CrAzY OBSESSED with the house improvements! I just can't stop! Poor Dusty! He has been so good with helping me out!
We put blinds up in the Kitchen last night. Dusty said he was sick of worrying if people could see us through the window! :)
This projects total comes down to $26.99 for blinds and $23.58 for curtain rod & curtains! I love it!

Bedroom Doors

We have these brown doors on all our bedrooms in the house and I finally replaced them! Ahh! Each door is $40 bucks so thats why it has taken me so long to do it! I have so many projects that I want to do and thats where ALL of our money has gone since! I think the doors have made a WORLD of DIFFERENCE!
And of course the before and after pictures!

Grass

We have three areas of flower beds but I only want to take care of two!

In the first flower bed I took out some green bushes and put in iceberg rose bushes and some pin cushion flowers. That area is right underneath the front room window. See the post below for pictures.
The second flower bed is directly off the porch. I'm going to be planting that this weekend.
The third flower bed is a triangle shape that connects to the grass. We decided to go ahead and ripe out the concrete that connects the flower bed and grass and let it all be grass.

Front Porch Bench

I have been wanting to stain our front porch a darker color hoping it would give our bench a new fresh look. I finally got to it today! I stained it a dark cheery color and I love it! It turned out better than I thought it would! Its funny what a $2.79 can of stain can do for you!

Kitchen Wall

I painted the kitchen today! I have already painted it twice! Dustin did not like the two previous color choices I had made so he picked out this color on his own.

Roses

I planted ROSES today! I know its not really the season but from what I hear, Roses are hard to kill off! Heres a few pictures!

I went to St. George during my trip with Dustin to visit my brother, Brad.
This is pretty hard for me. I haven't talked about this before but I really LOVE my brother and it has been really hard to be without him. I am so grateful for being able to visit with him and hope I can go back soon!

Anniversary

Dustin and I have been MARRIED 3 YEARS today! Time has gone by so fast!
I have learned so much from being married! I'm not going to lie, it was hard the first little while! It didnt help that I was 18 years old and 6 weeks out of High School. Never the less, I couldnt be happier with our decision to get married!
I love Dustin for his patience, his humility, his humor and all his hard work!
I can't wait for all the years to come!

Dustin is in Vegas during on our anniversary for a car convention and I decided to go along so we could be together and I could visit some friends.
A Sales Rep from Napa Auto Parts took Dustin, his Dad, Me and Ashlie out to a fancy dinner at Joe's Steakhouse! It just happened to be during our anniversary so we able to go eat a fancy dinner for FREE! It was such a great place!

Bronze Wall

I decided that I wanted to paint a wall in our front room BRONZE brown! I had seen something similar on tv and got the urge to do it today! The paint and the brush cost me $7.85 total! I think it turned out nice!

4th of July

4TH OF JULY! 4th OF JULY! 4TH OF JULY!
I absolutely LOVE the summer time and I especially love 4th of July!
Every year (well, the past 3 years) we go to my parents house for a BBQ & swim! After we swim we go to Buchanan for their Fireworks show! They have great music and I have such a great time just visiting! I don't know what it is but everyone is happier in the summer!
