Christmas Eve Dinner

Christmas Eve morning, Dustin and I took the kids to Old Navy to get a little gift for Mimi Kim. I had gotten all of the Christmas shopping done weeks ago but Dustin forget to get his Mom something. Colty was obsessed with this fake dog. He kept giving him hugs and kisses. It was the sweetest thing ever!! Afterwards we met my parents and ate at the Habit Burger! We had a nice morning as a family!

This year, Dustin and I decided to make a Christmas Eve dinner and invite my family over! 

We made a nice ham, funeral potatoes, glazed carrots and salad. I forgot to take pictures of that but I did take pictures after. My Dad, Brent, and Shaun played on Dustin's new XBox 1.

After dinner, Dustin and I let our kids open a few gifts!!

Baby Cash & Colty were being so cute together! Cash kept trying to share his banana with Colty!

We gave Mallory a new stroller, princess slippers, a table for her to color or make a tea-party and a few new clothes.

We gave Colton this slide/activity center, a couple of new pairs of shoes, a golf ball baby set and some clothes.

We got Nonna a new shirt for work and a gift card. Brooke & I got my Dad a new tool box!

We had a wonderful night!

Christmas Eve

On Sunday, we went to the annual Dockstader Christmas Eve party! Mallory had a great time visiting with her cousin April, Dana's daughter. They were so cute together. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I took during dinner and the gift exchange. We had a nice time building friendships with Dustin's extended family.

After dinner, we headed to my Aunt Amy's house to hang out with my family! We ate dessert and visited. We also went for a ride in Dustin's military truck to look at Christmas lights. The kids had a blast!! Such a fun tradition!!

Gingerbread House

The kids and I made gingerbread houses with Stephanie and Tucker today! Stephanie is soo professional at this! The kids had a great time eating their candy and building their houses. :)

New Shelf!

Dustin built me a custom wall shelf this week!!! We had been looking around at Target and other stores but never quite found one long enough or wide enough. I saw on Pinterest how to make a custom one so I wrote it down and sent Dustin to Lowes to get the materials! He only had to purchase 1 MDF board for $6 to make me 2 shelves! Yay!!

Here's the final shelf!!! 

I might get a few more items to help with height, but we'll see!!

Poor Colty!

Sooo Mr Colton had a tiny accident today!!! :(

He was chasing Mallory around the front room/kitchen and totally ate it!!

For some reason, he fell flat on his face! He trips every now and then but is usually able to catch himself with his hands. Not this time. Luckily, he barely chipped it and he didn't damage the tooth so much that the tooth could have died! Yay!

So Mallory has been obsessed with chap-stick lately and lipstick too!!She just loves to put it on any time she can! lol Isn't she the cutest thing ever?!

Preschool Christmas Party!

Mallory has the sweetest little preschool class!! I escaped work for a bit today to join her class Christmas party.

She has made some nice friends! She especially likes this girl, Elly!!

The class does a "Show & Tell" every week and I was excited to watch Mallory! She brought this mini toy doll house. She was very excited about it! Mallory is a bit more shy in public than she is at home but it's extremely cute. She gets all nervous and has to have Mrs Haroldson start the presentation to the class. Once she got started though, she did awesome! So proud of our girl!

Miss Mallory's Hair

Miss Mallory has the funniest hair! No matter how much I condition it, it's always soo wild!

I only wash it on Sundays but I deep condition it every single day and you can't even tell!

Its usually pretty darn dry. It looks good for the first half of the day but once she goes down for her nap, it gets all sorts of crazy!

This is pretty much how her hair looks every morning!

Doesn't she rock it good though!!?!

Then I'm able to condition it with either straight up adult conditioner, pink lotion, super skinny or moose if we are wearing it down!
She likes to do pig tails which we call "2 puffs" or all up!

 

A New Ward Calling

Dustin and I got a calling in our new ward today.

We are team teaching the Sunbeam "A" class. :)

This is Mallory's new class! I'm excited to be her teacher! Colton will tag along until he can go to Nursery in March.

My only little sad thing, is that I won't be able to attend relief society anymore.

This is only a big deal because its hard to make friends in a new ward when you're hidden in Primary!

Oh well.. haha
