Cousin Birthday!

Today is not only Colton's birthday but my nephew Cash's 1st Birthday!

Here is a picture of my Mom with the boys the day they were born and then at 1 year old!

Colton 1 Year Old Chalkboard

Can you believe this little Stud is 1 Year Old!!?!

Colton has been such a blessing in our lives!

He has been such a fun loving spirit in our home!

Colton's 1 Year Old stats:

- He currently weighs 21.5 pounds! He is a chunk!! I'm guessing mostly because he is willing to eat anything and I mean anything!

-Colt has 4 teeth!! He just got these! Perfect timing! Two on the very top (E&F) and two on the bottom (O&P)!

-Colt is 31 inches tall! This is just my measurement! He doesn't have his physical/shots until next month. Oops!

 

Colton's Loves:

-FOOD!! Colton will eat anything especially if you are eating it! Some of his favorites are avocados, bananas, peaches, chicken nuggets, yogurt drinks and olives.

-He loves to be outside! Any time Colton is having a hard time and I can't calm him down or just want to get his mind on something else, I take him outside. He loves to look up at the trees and we talk about the birds and swing on the swing with sister!

-He is finally liking Bath Time! He used to be nervous or something! Now Mallory and Colton get in the sink and play while I cook dinner or unload the dishwasher. It works out great!!

-Colton LOVES the Muffin Songs! Its a channel on YouTube. I found them and now I turn one of the songs on my Ipad while we drive so he won't cry in the car!! Yay!!!
-Colty loves to wrestle with Daddy and Mallory! He thinks it's soo fun to "attack" them!!!
-Colton is just a happy guy! He is always smiling. Hes so easy going. He lets Mallory be in charge! It's soo cute!

We sure do Love this little guy!! Excited to watch him continue to learn and grow! 

Mallory Blood Work

So Mallory had some blood work done this weekend!

Mallory's birth father and his father have Sickle Cell Disease and we wanted to know if Mallory has it or if she is a carrier for it. It's been on my mind a lot lately since Earl's father recently passed away from the disease. One of the symptoms is lack of appetite. Mallory seriously never cares to eat. She never really has though.

 I've had different thoughts on it over the last 3 years.

 1. She is naturally tiny. Mallory's birth mom was only 113 pounds at 9 months pregnant! So I know Mallory isn't going to be big!! Ha.

2. Mallory was sick seriously every 2 weeks for the first 2 years of her life! I think she got use to not wanting to eat because her throat was so sore. She has been eating a lot better though since the surgery last summer!

3. She has texture issues. She prefers to drink than eat! She will drink fruit smoothies, milk, water, juice or yogurt, pretty much any time you ask her to. She has a harder time with "big bites"!

So anyway I was trying to get to the point that she doesn't eat much so I thought maybe she could possibly have the sickle cell disease.

Good news is Mallory DOES NOT have the disease!!! Yay!  

She does however have low iron. So Dr Jones said I need to try and get her to eat better over the next six months or he's going to have to put her on some iron pills!

We had a great rest of the weekend!

Mallory and Dustin camped out in the backyard. Mallory thought it was so fun!

Colton and I decided to sleep in my nice big cozy warm bed!

We went to church trying to listen to the lessons while chasing around the kids!

The Last Week & Weekend

Colton eating a peach! Look at that sweet face! This little boy amazes me everyday! He is so calm natured like his Daddy!

 Dustin and I went on a date with Colton to Freebirds Burrito. It was yum! I love the nachos there!

Mallory was on a date with Nonna. She sent me this picture! Look how happy that girl is!

I'm loving Snapchat!! Best app ever!!

 

Becca and Blake came to town this week!! We had a fun time eating pizza with the girls, going to Olive Garden for lunch and going to the Gun Range!

 This weekend, my Dad & Dustin went to watch the car races in Somoma, CA!

 Nonna & I took Mallory & Colton to Foster Freezes & Johns Incredible Pizza!!

Colton: 11 Months Old

How is my tiny angel baby going to be 1 years old next month?! :(

It goes by sooo fast!!!

I love how much he has grown and changed in the last couple of weeks!

Colton is 21 pounds. He LOVES to eat! He will eat anything and everything. He literally puts ANYTHING in his mouth. Funny boy. His favorites are bananas, applesauce, puffs, grapes and naked juice.

He STILL HAS NO TEETH! I'm just about to die. I mean, my goodness. It's starting to seem weird. haha. I know he's fine and he DOES actually have teeth coming down but I hate that they're not out yet. He would be able to eat so much better. (The only good part about not having his teeth yet, is for my sake while breastfeeding)

Colton is doing ok with naps! He still loves to be rocked to sleep and I'm still enjoying it too. Its our own little quiet time. He takes an hour or so nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap with Mal in the afternoon. He goes to bed around 830 and gets up at 7. :)

(Don't get crazy, he still nurses once during the night...I know, I know!)

Colton is on the move! He can't sit still. He loves to crawl around and explore. He prefers to walk around (while holding on to something) and follow Mallory.

Mallory loves to have her picture taken! Even though I told her the chalkboard was for Colty today, she insisted she stand next to him. I love it. She's such a fun and cute girl!

Preschool

Miss Mal Pal is going to Preschool this year!!

She is attending The Treehouse Preschool in Clovis.

I am so excited for her! She loves to learn! I know she will have a great time exploring new things a couple of mornings a week.

Princess Camp

Miss Ashley (from Miss Ashleys House Preschool) had a Princess Day Camp!

Mallory was so excited to go! She had an Arial Princess dress she got from her birthday party!

She looked adorable! She met lots of cute girls there!

So glad Mallory was able to have a fun girl day!

Auntie & Uncle are in town!

Ashlie and Michael came into town this weekend!

It was so nice to see them two months in a row.

We didn't get to visit with them much last month because it was very busy with the funeral. :(

They came into town for Michael's sister's wedding! :) (Jessica Buckley)

I had a great time watching Ash and Michael with our kids.

Michael is always sooo good about helping with Colton. He's never tired of holding him!

Ashlie is fun and plays with Mallory.

My heart was happy watching Uncle and Auntie take Mallory for a bike ride.

Movies!

We are becoming a little obsessed with going to the movies!
Last week we saw Turbo in 3D with Aunt Tiffany (TeeTee) and Daddy!

The movie was funny and cute!

Mallory does so good at the movies! She loves to eat popcorn and relax. I bring treats too.

Colton usually falls asleep and that's great!



The following week, we went and saw the new Planes movie. It was pretty good!

We saw this one at Edwards. They don't have booster seats for Mallory. She was pretty disappointed. She sat with me during part of it and was able to see better!

Jaclyn, Becky and I took the kids to the splash park to play and eat snow cones this week! We grabbed lunch at Me and Eds afterwards too! So fun! I'm glad we have kids close in age!!

We also ate at Panda Express this week for Nicholes birthday!!

This week, Brittany Stoker came into town with her new baby girl Cambria!

Little baby Bria is sooo cute!! Brittany is already a pro too! She's a natural!

Stephanie, Nicole and I had a great time catching up while the kids played!!!

 

House for Sell!

We put our house up for sale this week.

It's time for us to move on to a new house and a new life.

It's bitter sweet!

This is the first home Dustin and I have ever owned.

The first house for both our cute kids.

We've put a lot of love into this house over the last 4 1/2 years.

We are excited to move to a nicer area so that Mallory & Colton can go to good schools.

We are excited to move to a larger home so the kids have more room to play.

Lots of fun and exciting things happening right now!

Ears Pierced!

Mallory has been begging me to take her to get her "ears done"!

She never noticed or cared before the last couple of weeks! (That I noticed)

She has been talking about it ALL the time so I took her!

I told Mallory before we went that it was going to hurt. She kept saying, "But, just a tiny baby bit"

She did great! She barely cried!!!

They look adorable on her!!

She chose purple studs because purple is her very best color. :)
